Upon doing some deep cleaning for the move from Seattle to L.A. I came up on some gems from my childhood. Some stuff that I knew I still had and some stuff that I had completetly forgotten about. If I knew then what I know now (I just came up with that, use it at your leisure) I would have kept just about everything from my childhood. I had so much dope stuff that I just threw away thinking I'd never have a use for it again. Here's part one of the stuff I didn't toss (thank God)...
GARBAGE PAIL KIDS
My mom HATED these. Nor was I allowed to watch "You Can't Do That On Television". She didn't like the language. I never understood that since it was on Nickelodeon. These cards were the best. I still have about 300 of them to this day. Soooo glad I didn't drop these in the trash (mom would have but I hid them).
RAD
This was my favorite movie. "Send Me An Angel" made me want to have relations with that chick up through the better part of my adult life, well, still does really. Believe me the Vans X Rad product that is dropping will be mine. I'll punch you in the face you try to tell me otherwise.
LANCE MOUNTAIN DECK
I loved this deck. Not as much as my H-Street Ron Allen (another one that I should have kept), but I loved it none-the-less. Peep how much I was feeling PP back then with all the stickers from other deck's graphics. This is from back when skating was my life. It was all I cared about. How can I get back to those days???
DOGTOWN MICKEY ALBA DECK
I'm really not that old, but for some reason it feels like this dates me. This is my first pro deck I ever had. Ma-dukes bought it for me for my eighth birthday, I think (Yep, losing my memory, getting old for sure). I'm not even going to post a pic of the paint pen graphics I put on the grip tape. I was such a little grom trying to make my mark in the neighborhood that I actually copied exactly what I saw on a pro's deck from some Thrasher I had. Tried passing it off as my own shit. It was horrible. That's why you're not going to see it. Stop asking. Note: Check out the OG "PJ'Z" stickers down at the bottom. If you're an OG Federal Way skate kid you'll know PJ'Z. It was the only legit place to get a deck from back in the 80's. Back before Kyle moved 35th in to the FedX.
Part 2 when I find more stuff... I know it's around somewhere...
